Why intent beats keyword lists
Keyword lists made sense when search engines matched words. Today, search engines and AI answers try to understand what someone actually needs. I wrote about this in The end of the keyword: keyword research still matters, but its job has changed. Use it to understand the questions people ask and the problems they're trying to solve, then build the page that answers them best.
That's what this tool is for. Every phrase here is something real people type, pulled from the autocomplete suggestions Google, YouTube and Bing show as people search.
How to use the results
Questions are the easiest wins for AI answers. Answer them clearly and early on the page, in plain language.
Comparisons and buying research show where people are close to a decision. Those phrases belong on product, category, review and comparison pages.
Problems are people who are stuck. Helpful support content here builds trust and earns links and citations.
Local phrases belong on location pages and in your Google Business Profile.
Bold words in each phrase are what people add to your topic. Scan those for angles nobody covers yet.
What this tool doesn't do
It doesn't show search volume. Volume numbers come from paid data, and even the big tools' numbers are estimates. Autocomplete tells you what people search, not how often. Use the Trends link on any phrase, or your own Search Console data, to size the ones that matter.
Autocomplete also leaves out some sensitive or low-quality searches by design, and results vary by country, so pick the market you care about.
How it works
When you search, this site asks Google, YouTube and Bing for their public autocomplete suggestions about your topic: about 40 lookups in total. The phrases are grouped in your browser using simple word rules. There's no AI and no paid data, and your searches aren't stored. Results for the same topic are cached for 24 hours, and each visitor gets 20 lookups a day.
FAQ
Is this keyword research tool really free?
Yes. It uses public autocomplete suggestions from Google, YouTube and Bing, so there's nothing to sign up for. Each visitor gets 20 free lookups a day to keep the tool fast for everyone.
Why doesn't it show search volume?
Search volume comes from paid data, either Google Ads or clickstream panels, and even those numbers are estimates. This tool focuses on what people search and why. To size the phrases that matter, check them in Google Trends (each result has a link) or in your own Search Console data.
How does it decide the search intent?
It uses simple, transparent word rules, not AI. Phrases with words like vs or alternative are comparisons, best or price signal buying research, near me signals local intent, and phrases that start with how, what or why are questions.
Where do the suggestions come from?
Google autocomplete (the topic on its own, with every letter of the alphabet, with question words like how and why, and with words like vs and near), plus YouTube autocomplete and Bing suggestions. The same lookup is cached for 24 hours.
